Since I have more experience writing personal opinion essays, I struggle to avoid using this style of writing in objective academic essays. Avoiding embellishing sentences with descriptive adjectives and synonyms is my main issue. Further problems I’ve had were using a consistent structure and writing a scientific, objective concluding paragraph.

Your self-reflections seem very appropriate! I’m particularly interested in how you plan to avoid the overuse of descriptive adjectives and synonyms in your writing…?
