Since I have more experience writing personal opinion essays, I struggle to avoid using this style of writing in objective academic essays. Avoiding embellishing sentences with descriptive adjectives and synonyms is my main issue. Further problems I’ve had were using a consistent structure and writing a scientific, objective concluding paragraph.

Welcome to the forums Ann-Kristin_Ritter, thank you so much for posting and sharing your thoughts and experiences.

Your self-reflections seem very appropriate! I’m particularly interested in how you plan to avoid the overuse of descriptive adjectives and synonyms in your writing…?

Does anyone have any comments they’d like to add?
